Ink Wash Landscape Hanging Scroll Painting

Description

Inkwash Sansui Landscape. Painted with ink on silk. The title inscribed on the painting reads Kozan Bankyo - meaning mountains and rivers are not lacking in interest.

Miyoshi Aiseki(1838-1923)was a Japanese painter active during late Edo period(1603-1868) in Japan. He was born in Tokushima prefecture. He learned painting from Kojima Chikusho(1807－1868), Yamada Baison(1816－1881) and Tetsuoh Somon(1791-1872). Aiseki lived in Osaka.

Some insignificant light marks are present on the painting and mounting, otherwise the piece is in finely aged condition. It is accompanied by a paulownia wood storage box.
