Landscape. Paint on paper. Signed Chikuho and sealed.

Mizuta Chikuho(1883-1958) was a Japanese artist active during Meiji and Showa period in Japan. He was a pupil of Japanese prominent artist, Himejima Chikugai(1840-1928). Since 1912 Chikuho consecutively won awards at Bunten Art exhibitions and also won special award at Bunten art exhibition in 1916. He established a Japan nanga shouthern Chinese school of painting called Japan Nanga art circle together with Kono Shuson(1890-1987).

Some insignificant light marks is present on the painting, and some light crease and insignificant light insect damage is present on the mounting, otherwise the piece is in very good condition. It is accompanied by an original paulownia wood storage box .
