Mt. Penglai (lit. Penglai Immortal Island)) is an imaginary sacred mountain in ancient times, China and one of the three sacred mountains (Horai, Hojo, Eishu). It is said to be located in the East Sea of ??Shandong, where immortals live and make immortality medicines, and the palace has golden jade, white birds and beasts, and jade trees. However, if you look far away, it looks like a cloud, and if you get close, it disappears somewhere.
Nakano Soun (1981-1979) was a Japanese painter born in Kyoto. He graduated from Kyoto Painting College. He studied painting under Yamamoto Shunkyo (1871-1933).
Some insignificant light marks are present on the painting itself, otherwise the painting is in very good condition. Some light marks and light foxing are present on the scroll mounting, otherwise the piece is in good condition.
