Countryside Scroll Landscape Painting

Beautiful countryside. Painted with ink and pigments on paper. Signed Komatsu Hitoshi and sealed.

Komatsu Hitoshi (1902-1989) was a Japanese painter from Yamagata Prefecture in Japan.
He was selected as Persons of Cultural Merit as well as Honorary citizen of Oishida Town and honorary citizen of Murayama City. Since 1928, he has lived in Ohara near Kyoto. He left a large number of works based on the scenery of Ohara, and was known as the "Ohara Painter".

Some insignificant light marks and insignificant light crease are present on the painting itself, otherwise the painting is in very good condition. The scroll mounting is in fine condition with some insignificant light marks present. It is accompanied by a paulownia wood storage box.
