Mountain village in Autumn. Painted with ink and pigments on silk.

Yamashita Chikusai(1885-1973) was a Japanese artist born in Kyoto. Chikusai won a special award at Bunten art exhibition for the first time in Meiji 44,in 1911, and also won a special award in 1916. Chikusai was adept at depicting landscape painting．

Some insignificant light marks and light foxing are present on the painting itself, otherwise the painting is in very good condition. Some insignificant light crease are present on the scroll mounting, otherwise the piece is in very good condition. It is accompanied by an original paulownia wood storage box .
