Cherry Blossoms and Country House Painting
Description
Spring landscape depicted a country house and ume plum blossoms and willow tree.
Yagioka Shunzan(?-1941) was a Tokyo born Japanese artist. He was a pupil of Shimojo Keikoku(1842-1920) and learned painting of Hokusoga (the northern school of Chinese painting). Shunzan was adept at suiboku sansui inkwash landscape painting.
Some insignificant light marks are present on the painting itself, otherwise it is in fine condition. The scroll mounting is in fine condition. It is accompanied by a paulownia wood storage box
