Yotsuda Kansui (1892-1983) was a Japanese artist born in Ehime prefecture. He was a pupil of Oochi Shokan. He was awarded for his first prize at the Teiten imperial art exhibition and since then he consecutively won prizes at the exhibitions and to be treated with distinction. He was adept at landscape painting.
The painting is in very good condition with age. Some insignificant tiny marks and fabric fray are present when it is rolled, which is not appearing on the scroll mounting itself, otherwise the piece is in very good condition with age. It is accompanied by an original paulownia wood storage box .
